Rev. Hendrik has “loaded” some of the church members to drive to Rooibrakke to collect Marammas. It’s about 70km from Dekar against the Central Kalahari boundary. Marammas is a wild nut that ranks on the ground. Naturally high in nutritional value. It was slow driving through the veld and they slept over and back again the next day. It helps to supplement their food deficits for “free”.
