First off all, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our God and heavenly Father, and to all who have contributed to helping our members in Dekar. The nice amount of R32,000 , made it possible to make-up 100 food parcels.
The Need
As you know, Botswana was also weighed down under level 5 lockdown, and many of our members were not going to work, and although a few still received a reduced salary, most people in any case are casually employed with no fixed income.(what we call here piece jobs) Game Farms were also not allowed to hunt, and the borders are still closed today for tourist.
This has resulted in no visitors to road stalls and work in lodges.
The situation is now a bit better but, just like in South Africa Level 3 still applies in Botswana.
Purchase of food
Ghanzi is the closest town to D’kar (45km) and we have purchased the products at the
lowest price.The wholesaler then offered to deliver it free of charge to D’kar.
Storage and distribution
The storeroom at the church was cleaned, and a new lock was put in the door. The Church council compiled a proper list of members only, of the congregation who qualify to receive assistance.
With the members list in hand and my jute, the food packs were neatly divided and delivered to the 100 houses personally. Elders assisted to deliver parcels to their own ward members

Pray and believe in God… Luke 24: 28… If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you……!
