Rev Hendrik du Plessis
Church life here in D’kar is slowly but surely returning to normal. For a while, we halted the Sunday school classes, especially after the Covid-19 virus hit our church council hard. To avoid contact between the children and the adults we had to teach them at home. We currently have four teachers helping with the lessons. They are from our congregation. We are especially grateful for the booklets we received from brother Tiddo Voogt.

Our prayer is that the Lord will truly bless us with the teaching of our children. As can be seen in the picture above, the harvest is great, but the laborers are few, and we can only pray for laborers in His harvest, for the harvest belongs to Him. The children enjoy the lessons and that is very positive to us. The numbers reflect that. To make the photo above form a complete picture, one can use the boy in front, number 86, as a cut-off point. Unfortunately, I could not fit all in one photo, otherwise, I would have had to stand further away.

Our confession class is taught twice a week, Mondays and Tuesdays. The classes are diligently attended. Also with them, we had to call a halt for a while at a time when the church council was ill. Luckily they were patient until we could start again. Our request to you is not to forget our children in your prayers. This is our church’s future but more broadly also the future of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ here in Botswana.
Greetings and Blessings,
Hendrik du Plessis
